This first appeared in the Manhattan Mercury as a United Artists theatre on 10/2/1987. Beginning 12/13/1991 all United Artists theatres in Manhattan began being advertised as First International Theatres.

This theatre started advertising as a Carmike cinema on 6/27/1997. Carmike opened an additional six screens on 5/19/1999.

AMC acquired this theatre when it purchased Carmike in December of 2016.
