Information for this tour was contributed by Chris Fuller. In late 1990, the theater was turned into a discount second run theater. Late in 1992, a theater across town called the Eastdale Triple temporarily closed to expand to an 8-plex and Martin Twin was returned to a first run theater. Unfortunately, in the two years it had been a discount theater, it had not been properly taken care of and audiences in Montgomery stayed away. Roughly 5 weeks before the now Eastdale 8 re-opened, the Martin Twin was closed with very little notice to the public.
