Information for this tour was contributed by Konrad Schiecke. The Co-Ed Theatre opened in 1939 with 752 seats. It was located at 614 East Green Street. Elger Theatres, headquartered in La Salle, operated it. The Kerasotes circuit purchased the theatre and twinned it in the 1980s, followed by a 1990s expansion, with a 3-screen addition on the east side of the building. The theatre was demolished in 2000 to make way for an apartment building. Photos Photos remain the property of the Member and may not be reproduced without the written consent of the Member. |
