Loews operated this theatre until it sold all of its Louisville locations to National Amusements on 4/21/1995.

In November of 2012 it was announced that Cinemark would acquire this theatre and 31 others from Rave. As part of the acquisition, Cinemark was instructed by the Department of Justice to divest itself of this theatre which was then sold to Carmike Cinemas in the third quarter of 2013.

AMC acquired this theatre when it purchased Carmike Cinemas in December of 2016.
