General Cinema operated this theatre until December 18, 1986.

An article in the January 13, 1987 edition of the Lexington Herald-Leader stated that USA Cinemas acquired this theatre from General Cinema. "...
making USA the sole owner of all first-run theaters in Lexington. The acquisition brings the number of movie screens operated by USA Cinemas in Lexington to 25 at six locations: Crossroads, North Park and South Park shopping centers and Lexington, Fayette and Turfland malls. The company closed the deal and officially took over Turfland and Fayette Mall theaters in December. [1986]"
