Information for this tour was contributed by Arthur Camarillo.

General Cinema Carrollton 6 was built behind the shopping center on the southeast corner of Old Denton Rd and Trinity Mills Rd, adjacent to another shopping center with an older General Cinema Furneaux Creek.

It was fairly a nice theater (a lot nicer than Furneaux Creek Cinema) with memorable attendance to see movies like "Jurassic Park", "The Lion King", and "Forrest Gump"; as well as couple movies from GCC's Summer Movie Camp (before AMC took over). There were three Dolby houses, and the other three were mono. DTS digital sound was installed in 1995 for "Apollo 13".

By September 1998, General Cinema closed down a bunch of theaters in the Dallas area, including Carrollton 6. I believe the last shows were "There's Something About Mary", "Saving Private Ryan", "Simon Birch", "Ever After", "Armageddon", and "How Stella Got Her Groove Back."

Ten years later in 2008, vacant Carrollton 6 converted to Bally's Total Fitness.
