Mid America Cinemas built this six screen theatre in 1986 and according to a 1/25/1989 article in the Newark Advocate, Mid America had recently signed a 10-year management deal with AMC for their 15 Midwestern theaters.
Crown Cinemas acquired this location in April of 1990.
Hollywood Theaters acquired Crown Cinema Corp in September of 1996 and expanded from six to ten screens on 11/26/1997, with the eleventh screen opening sometime later.
Regal Entertainment Group acquired this theatre when they acquired Hollywood Theaters in April of 2013. Regal's last day of operation was January 14, 2016.
AMC Theatres took over shortly thereafter and executed a full renovation of the theatre to include recliners.
