Information for this tour was contributed by Roger Katz.

The Bristol 8 opened in 1987 and was closed by Loews Theatres in June 2000.

The theatre reopened in January of 2002 with the new name of Movieland. Lots of work was needed to clean the theare which was incredibly dusty after being closed for 2 years. The building has 8 screens, however only 6 have working 35mm projectors. They have scavenged parts from the 2 remaining projectors. One of the remaining auditoriums is used with a pair of 16mm projectors to show classic movies from the 1930's. The other auditorium remains unused.

After just four months, Movieland closed again on May 26, 2002.

Maybe the third time's a charm ... the theater has been renamed the Forestville Theatres and reopened on July 12, 2002.

The theater closed again on October 2, 2005.
