Information for this tour was contributed by Debbie Ward McArdle.

George Franklin and some of his workers died at the drive-in during a tornado on March 24, 1954. Debs Reynolds leased and reopened it in 1955. The drive-in continued to operate until it was again destroyed by a tornado in June 1963.
