Information for this tour was contributed by Jim Aho. In addition to the Regis Theatre in Stanley, the youngest brother of my mother's family built & operated the Midway Drive-in until it closed in July 1973, when a tornado took the screen. My Grandmother was the ticket-taker, my mother worked concessions, and my uncle was the Projectionist. The Midway was located along US Highway 2 between Ray and Tioga ND. Today the concrete block building that housed the projection booth, concessions and restrooms is all that remains. Return to the top of this page or Return to the main page
