Phoenix Theatres took over operation of the former Cobb CineBistro in 2017, renaming it the Peninsula Movie Bistro. Studio Movie Grill assumed control in February 2019.

The theater closed in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and Studio Movie Grill subsequently filed for bankruptcy and permanently closed the theater.

EVO Entertainment reopened the theater on May 27, 2022.
