The Burton Theatre opened in the auditorium of the former Burton International School in 2009.
After closing down as the Cass City Cinema on June 16, 2013 this theatre reopened as Cinema Detroit later in the year.
Cinema Detroit moved to another location closer to midtown on October 1, 2015.
