An article in the 1/17/1988 edition of the Albert Lea "Tribune" provided many details about this theatre's lifespan. Details included an extensive remodeling in 1947 and that the balcony was closed off into its own theatre to make the Broadway Twin in 1974.

Essaness acquired this theatre and the entire 89-screen Carisch Theatre chain as of 5/13/1988, but appear never to have operated the theatre.
