Information for this tour was contributed by Michael Coate. According to publicity at the time of its opening, the theater sat 810, had a parking lot that could accommodate 300 vehicles, was the first 70mm-equipped venue in the city of Lincoln, and featured "multi-track theatre stereo of unusually fine fideltity." The debut attraction was "The Sound Of Music".
Cooper-Highland sold their theatres to Commonwealth effective 6/7/1978.
UA acquired this theatre when it purchased Commonwealth Theatres in 1988. Though Douglas Theatres acquired UA's other interests in Lincoln on 8/7/1992, this remained UA. Photos Photos remain the property of the Member and may not be reproduced without the written consent of the Member. |
