Dietz Opera House (officially Oakland's first theatre) was located on the NE corner of Webster & Central (Central became 12th St.) Opened September 1873; formerly had been University of California Brayton Hall; renamed People's (#2) 12 September 1902. Last Year of Operation 1905; burned 1911.
