Information for this tour was contributed by Mark Richey.

The one-screen Arapaho Road D.I. apparently opened on June 15, 1960, the first day an ad appeared in the Dallas Morning News with "My Dog Buddy" and "Once More With Feeling." If it was the opening day, the very tiny ad in the News didn’t mention it. There was also no mention of the drive-in in that week’s Richardson Echo, but an ad for the theater did appear in the next week’s edition. The theater, apparently independent, apparently lasted for ten years. Its finale was as quiet as it’s opening, apparently coming on October 20, 1970, the last day it ran an ad in the Richardson Daily News (It had stopped advertising in the Morning News in September). The final shows listed were "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie." There was no other mention of the theater’s demise in the papers. An assisted-living community now occupies the space where the theater once stood.
