Information for this tour was contributed by Rocco Garro. Smalleys Community Theater was built in 1897 as a vaudeville house and it closed in 1982. The last run was a double of "Popeye" with Robin Williams and "Conan the Barbarian" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Construction was brick and wood. The theater held 400, 300 on the floor and 100 in the balcony. Projection room was tiny, running Simplex E-7 w/carbon arc. Return to the top of this page or Return to the main page
