Millbrook Park in New Boston, Ohio, included amusement rides, picnic areas, a ball park, a bowling alley, skating rink, dance floor, and artificial lagoon, walking paths, boat rides, a theater, and a world famous roller-coaster, as well as tennis and volleyball courts.
The large beautiful theater building was called the Casino. It was the principal social building in New Boston during the early 1900's. The Casino was located just inside the park gate, about where the Cornett building is located now. The great auditorium, as well as the open air balcony with its folding chairs, was famous for its Sunday night concerts. Plays, concerts, films and even summer stock of the highest type were produced season after season. The Casino had its own house band called the River City Band. Many famous actors and actresses appeared there. Some of those who appeared were Francis X. Bushman, Flora DeWitt, and Ralph Burtlett.
