Information for this tour was contributed by Jim Harris.

In addition to the five downtown theaters, there have been two drive-in theaters just outside of Littlefield. The first was the LFD Drive-In, located on the Bula Highway just west of town. The projectionists bunker and ticket booth are all that remain of this 1940s drive-in. The LFD had one central outdoor sound speaker, and the cars had to keep their windows rolled down in order to hear the movie sound track -- regardless of the weather. The theater closed in the early 1950s. The screen stood until about 1960, and the triangular marquee was standing until about 1970 or so.
