Information for this tour was contributed by William T. Parr.

The Americana Theatre was built by Trans Texas Theatres in the early 1960s. It was later owned by AMC Theatres. This theatre featured a huge 70mm screen and had two Norelco AA-IIs in it originally. The downfall to the theatre was AMC’s forcing Disney to give them and exclusive run on Annie, which Disney did for a required 18 week engagement. Needless to say, the rest was history as the theatre never was able to get out of the contract and eventually dug itself a big financial hole.
