The Garden was located at 622 Hennepin Avenue. In the 1920s, the front half of the building facing Hennepin was converted into shops while half of the auditorium was mothballed. In 1932, the remainder was converted into the World Theatre, with a new entrance constructed on Seventh Street.

General Cinema operated this theatre from July 1, 1970 until September 5, 1983.
