Information for this tour was contributed by Columbus Metropolitan Library. The Majestic opened 1/12/1914. The Majestic became an RKO theater June 29, 1929 and was wired for "talkies." It closed and was razed in 1950.
On January 15, 1915, the Majestic became the first theater in Columbus to provide movies for children. On March 12, 1922, the Majestic became the first theater in Columbus to broadcast radio transmissions over its auditorium speakers.
