Information for this tour was contributed by Ken Roe. In later years, the Mayfair went from first-run movies to being an X-rated Pussycat Theater, followed by Teatro Mexicano showing Spanish films then in the late 1980s it was renamed Mayfair and became a second run double feature cinema. In 1992, it became an art-house cinema, but this venture was short-lived and it was shuttered. In August 2000, a fire destroyed the auditorium. The remains of the building stands, awaiting its fate.
