Information for this tour was contributed by Al Schon.

The Oak Park Theater was originally opened in 1961 with a seating capacity of 700 and remained open until 1980 when Carisch Theaters closed it to open a new five-plex (now the Carmike North 7) at the mall.

May of 2000 saw the Oak Park reopen after it had been a pool hall, now with a capacity of 500 and stereo sound, showing sub-run movies.
