The May 26, 1983 edition of the Roswell Daily Record announced groundbreaking for the Roswell Mall. The article announced the Cinemark Corp. of Dallas had leased spaced for a four screen theatre at the mall.
An article in the May 22, 1984 edition of the Roswell Daily Record listed Cinemark as the operator of the Mall's Cinema 4. The article said that Cinemark had been in business in TX, NM, LA, OK and MS for 30 years. It also stated Cinemark ran theatres in Alamogordo.
It was announced in the February 3, 1984 edition of the Roswell Daily Record that Commonwealth Theatres had purchased this theatre and the Cinema 5 in Alamogordo from Cinemark Theatres. Photos
