An article about the Blumenfeld family's success in the 10/29/1966 edition of the Marin Independent Journal quoted Abe Blumenfeld saying that the Northgate theatre opening the previous May.

An article in the 5/25/1966 Independent Journal reported extensively on the new theatre's opening scheduled for the following day. The article stated that this theatre was the first in Marin County to be equipped with 70mm projection.
