Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow. The interior photos recently added to CinemaTour were a little alarming, as the captions mentioned impending demolition but no details. A scan of Nashville's online newspaper archive reveals that Barnes and Noble is discontinuing its Bookstar stores (a shame, since some of them were great examples of adaptive reuse of theatres) and suggests that the exterior of the theatre-cum-bookseller, including its elaborate lighting and marquee, will be restored as the strip center around it is renovated. The Belle Meade's Wall of Fame photo collection is reportedly being moved to a local museum. If anyone has an update, we'd like to hear it!
