Information for this tour was contributed by Dave Kingham & Jeff Edling. In about 2000, Loews built the 12-screen 2-level Magic Johnson Theatre with 3012 seats. This was a new-build further north in the mall from the former General Cinema facility. When the mall opened, it was the largest indoor shopping center in the country.
The Randall Park Mall Cinemas has been closed since November 2008. The theater closed in April 2008 which was one month before the city mayor announced the closing of the entire Randall Park Mall. However, the theater was reopened for approximately six months by a small theater company called "O Theater." Sears, Burlington Coat Factory, and the motorcycle repair school inside the old JC Penny store also continued to operate for a while. The inside part of the mall was closed, so everybody had to enter the remaining businesses from outside. The O Theater closed on November 4th, 2008.
