Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow. Opened on May 31, 1947 -- after several years' delay caused by WWII -- the 4th Avenue cost entrepreneur Cap Lathrop a million dollars to build. Today, the theatre is home to a catering business that still uses the auditorium for special events, including Alaskan travel films.
