Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow.

This historic African-American cinema is undergoing a transformation. Most of the run-down building will be demolished, but the facade will remain as the front for a Black history center.

Formerly the Charles Williams Hardware store, the building was remodeled and opened as the Ritz Theatre on December 31, 1930. It closed in August 1953 and was later the Eleanor Shop.
