Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow. According to a librarian in Auburn, this town just south of Springfield once had two theatres. The Capitol is no longer standing, but the R (which probably went out of business before its name became synonymous with "no one under 17 admitted unless accompanied by an adult") was converted to a beauty parlor. I suspect that only the lobby is used for this venture and the auditorium may still be in something like its original state.
