The Ascot Cinema in the West End of Glasgow was designed by architect CJ McNair and opened shortly after the outbreak of World War II. The cinema later became associated with the Gaumont and Odeon circuits before closing in 1975. The building was subsequently used as a bingo hall and, in 2001, was converted to an apartment building.
