Information for this tour was contributed by Ken Roe. The State Theatre was built by Greater Union Cinemas and has been magnificently restored and is now used for live performances. It does still have film facilities and hosts events during the Sydney Film Festival each year. The Wurlitzer organ is still in situ and is being restored to full playable condition. The small 162 seat theatrette located beneath the main foyer was first used as a Newsreel theatre before becoming State II for many years. It is now used as a function room.
